Cabinet Approves Hiring of 12,500 School Teaching Interns with Competitive Salaries
The Punjab School Education Department has achieved a significant milestone with the recent approval of hiring 12,500 School Teaching Interns (STIs). Announced by Punjab’s School Education Minister, Rana Sikandar, this initiative reflects the government's steadfast commitment to enhancing the education sector.
Under this program, STIs will be appointed across schools in Punjab, earning a monthly stipend of PKR 45,000. This move not only addresses the urgent need for teaching staff in educational institutions but also provides young professionals with valuable opportunities to gain experience in the field of education.
The approval by the cabinet is a testament to the government’s focus on strengthening the education system, ensuring access to quality education, and creating employment opportunities for aspiring teachers. The initiative is expected to have a transformative impact on the province’s schools, particularly in areas where teaching resources are scarce.
