Job Description
- Supervises library- related services of the library members.
- Responsible for creating new library membership cards.
- Sends overdue notices to borrowers and follows up with calls to ensure that overdue materials are returned.
- Inspects the returned books for condition, due date status, and fines (if applicable), as well as, checks book cards of returned books before sending for shelving.
- Responsible for shelf reading and shelf maintenance of all materials.
- Assists the Librarian in maintaining the library collection by evaluating the collection i.e. weeding, replacement, binding, and updating the books and all other library materials.
- Maintains record of all receiving materials from other libraries of SZABIST.
- Keeps general discipline of the library.
- Supervises general maintenance and cleanness of the library.
- Assists the library users by providing information, and library materials.
- Assists the Librarian in library-related work.
- In the absence of the Librarian is responsible for performing the functions of the librarian.
