at their DHA Campus in Islamabad.

Responsibilities:
- Take stock at regular intervals (as per The City School policy) and maintain a fully stocked library to suit the readers who use the library.
- Implement the proper categorization system and label the categorized stock on racks.
- Maintain a good borrow/return/reference procedure properly recorded.
- Display a list of rules for the readers to follow and ensure that the rules are followed
- Make continuous efforts to upgrade and update the material available and maintain high standards as a school library; for example, securing suitable magazines, CDs, charts etc.
- Secure necessary appliances such as TV and Video player, soft boards, labeled diagrams etc. in addition to books and periodicals.
- Create programmes to enhance the reading habit; for example, the bookworm programme, caterpillar programme, selection of the best reader of the month/week etc.
- Assist teachers in conducting academic activities such as quiz competitions, language development programmes etc.
- Conduct book reviews, appraisals, and role play as appropriate in relation to the age of students.
- Pay individual attention to students and be vigilant of their activities while in the library.
- Display a board, ‘SILENCE’ prominently and train the students to follow library norms.
- Ensure that the library is kept clean and tidy.
